The third generation of the Gallmetzer Simmerle family is now running Hotel Peter. We are connected to our home and have made it our life's work to continue the long family tradition of hosting and serving guests.
Granddad Georg Gallmetzer and his wife Rosa Mahlknecht ran a rustic wine tavern with a few rooms in the 1950s. Its closeness to the Pietralba monastery meant that the small "Peter" B&B became well known very quickly. Senior boss Stefan Gallmetzer took over the small tavern in the 1970s and with his wife Emmi Huber converted and extended it to become a 3 star hotel. In 2005 Margareth Gallmetzer and her husband John Simmerle took over the family business and created the now 4 star Hotel Peter in 2007.
